For the branding project of Web Japan, a government-run website aimed at a global audience, we redefined the brand concept and developed a new logo, website, posters, and merchandise based on that vision.
We positioned Web Japan as a gateway connecting Japan with the rest of the world. The logo features a clean and straightforward design inspired by two iconic symbols of Japan: Mount Fuji and the red circle of the national flag.
To make Japanese culture feel more accessible to the site’s target audience—primarily young people—we designed a vibrant, playful website. Using the circular motif of the Japanese flag’s sun as a visual element, the site incorporates colorful accents and dynamic, engaging motion to create a sense of excitement and discovery.
The website prototype was designed and built in Figma, covering everything from the structural layout to the visual design.
