Safety Poster

Master Year 1 (2024)
Poster

This poster conveys essential safety information for everyone in GSA, focusing on key precautions. Its main goal is to capture students’ attention quickly. Since there are limited spaces for posters and students work in different areas, the design needs to be bold and visible from a distance. My poster is simple and vivid, ensuring it stands out. It also incorporates elements arranged to resemble a face, even when viewed from afar. This face-like imagery makes the poster feel more relatable and familiar. Although a face is not directly drawn, the "x_x" and crying expressions evoke negative emotions, such as sadness or fear, reinforcing the warning about cutlery use. The poster also communicates how to work safely and avoid accidents, using minimal elements like the crying-to-smiling face and a yellow warning box. This simple design effectively conveys the message and helps students feel informed and confident in their work environment.

Poster

The information this poster delivers is related to everyone in GSA and the things they must be careful about. Thus, this poster’s first objective is to get all students’ attention. However, the number of posters we can put up is limited, and the students work in various places. The poster needs to be eye-catching and bold enough to see from afar. My poster is simple and vivid to be noticeable. Also, the elements used in the poster are placed to let people remind a face because of simulacrum, even when people see the poster from afar. Secondly, it should make the students feel familiar and notice that it is connected to themselves. As mentioned, I designed the poster to look like a face even though I didn’t draw a face directly. A face like x_x and crying can represent human negative feelings, such as sadness or fear, and it can emphasize the poster’s contents, a warning message about the use of cutlery. Finally, it tells the whole story about how we can work without risk to avoid any incidents, and it can make us feel better and enable us to work more freely. The minimum elements of the poster can tell this whole story (the face of crying to smiling) and things they need to mind (in the yellow box primary).
