My hand-made nest
Magpie makes a nest using article subjects to adopt an urban area. It is similar to us, international students who are trying to get used to living in different environments. I also have experiences in changing environments, studying abroad at a university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, transferring to a university in London, the UK, and entering the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland. I have incorporated local culture and lifestyle little by little and tried to adapt to such a new environment. I never abandoned myself; I created my own nest, mixing my identity and the new elements that I had collected there in order to make it easy to live. Our collaborative zine, “Flow of Time,” showed various aspects of how the world captures the flow of time.
